Sport has been a constant throughout my life, teaching me the value of teamwork, commitment, and community. I’ve always been on committees as I’m a hands-on, proactive person who enjoys helping others, solving problems, and finding ways to improve people’s experiences.
Hi, I’m Cara McDonald, and I’ve been with LHW for over 25 years.
Pensions shouldn’t be complicated. My focus is on education, clarity, and helping people feel confident about their financial future.
I also help businesses deliver benefits that employees value while supporting talent attraction and retention.
I work with employees to understand and maximise their pension benefits, while supporting employers with pension and protection schemes so they can focus on what they do best, running their business.

What I love most about working at LHW, is that my clients have one dedicated adviser, me, not a helpline. I get to know each client personally and often work with them from the day they join a pension scheme right through to retirement. Building long-term relationships, earning trust, and being part of their financial journey is one of the most rewarding aspects of my role.
