Alan Lewis

Managing Director

Alan is responsible for the strategic development of LHW. Heading for 40 years with the firm and with an appetite for many more, he has always prioritised teamwork and open communication. The goal is a customer-centred organisation where team members love coming to work and sharing in life’s trials and tribulations. Alan has built a team of caring professionals who are passionate about helping clients understand what “Freedom to Live” means to them.

Outside the office his interests are largely sporting and family. He represented his country as an international cricketer and rugby referee. Sport and family life are intertwined in the Lewis household.

Jack Tector

Personal financial planning & corporate pensions

Jack started working in LHW Financial Planning in 2018. With an accounting background, Jack has really enjoyed the financial services industry. He loves helping and working with people, particularly in the age group similar to his own. He works across both the Corporate & Personal Financial services teams.
Jack compliments his work by playing cricket and golf, and enjoys a balanced lifestyle of work and sport. While progressing his financial career, Jack has completed his QFA and PTP qualification. Recently, Jack also completed the Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning which makes him a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
Jack also specialises in assisting clients who wish to bring their UK benefits home to Ireland. Having in-depth knowledge of the taxing implications relating to UK Pension Transfers, he can guide you through the transfer process and answer any questions you may have.

John Dunne

Head of personal financial planning

John is passionate about helping individuals find financial security and live long and inspired lives. Working together to achieve financial clarity is more important than ever due to increasing longevity in society.  He believes that creating a financial plan is not all about money, but more importantly about a holistic view of your life today, and how you want to live in the future.

When not discussing financial planning, John will chat all day about rugby and tennis.  He reads extensively on positive living and healthy ageing.  He believes the secret to healthy ageing is finding meaningful work and following your passions. Other qualifications: QFA, Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning, LIA Pensions Diploma and a Corporate MBA from DCU.

Cara McDonald

Corporate Client Executive

Cara is responsible for the Corporate Pension and Risk benefits section within LHW. She spends much of her time meeting employees on an individual basis, helping them plan for their future while living in the present. She thrives on this interaction and really enjoys getting to know their personal situations.

Cara has been with LHW for 25 years so is definitely looking forward to her long service award. Outside of work Cara is a year round sea swimmer, plays cricket and mountain bikes. Cara holds a BA from UCD and a CDPP in Data Protection.

Jonathan Yates

Personal financial planning & corporate pensions

Jonathan started working in LHW Financial Planning in 2023. Jonathan comes from a sporting background and previously competed as a professional golfer on the Challenge Tour. He has since regained his amateur status and now competes internationally as one of Ireland’s leading amateur golfers. He has embraced the Financial Planning industry with open arms and currently works across both the Corporate & Personal Financial Planning teams within LHW.

Jonathan has a balanced lifestyle between golf and work. While progressing his financial career, Jonathan has completed his QFA exams. He is finishing the Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning in December 2026, which on completion will make him a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™️ (CFP®️)  professional.

Catherine Slevin

Pension Advisor & Financial Planner

Catherine looks after the administration and servicing of our Group Pension & Risk Benefit Schemes. She is efficient and well organised ensuring both members and employers are fully engaged and understanding of all things Pensions and Investments.  All of this is aligned to Freedom to Live. With over 20 years’ experience in the industry Catherine has gained a vast knowledge and understanding of clients needs.

Outside of work Catherine loves to be outdoors, walking is a particular passion of hers, all part of a positive attitude to life.

Valerie Browne

Administration officer

With over 25 years of experience working in the industry, and 15 years working with the team in LHW, Valerie is responsible for overseeing the administration and servicing of LHW private clients.  Efficiency and attention to detail in caring for individual portfolios is imperative.

Outside of the office interests are largely on the outdoor scene, with walking, running and general fitness and well-being always a priority. When time allows, baking is a hidden pastime!

Amanda O’Connor

Client Service Executive

Amanda is passionate about helping clients navigate life’s major transitions with confidence and clarity. Having sold her own business in 2024, she understands firsthand the opportunities and challenges that come with stepping into a new chapter. She now works closely with private clients to support them in shaping and managing their financial futures.

With a strong background in sales and finance, Amanda focuses on retirement and estate planning. She believes that effective financial planning is built on genuine connection – taking the time to understand each client’s unique story, and creating a plan that protects what they’ve built while supporting their future goals.

Outside of her work, Amanda enjoys travelling, keeping active, and spending time with friends and family. She values a healthy work-life balance and has a keen interest in meeting new people and experiencing different cultures.

Amanda’s areas of focus include retirement planning strategies, estate and legacy planning, and private client relationships.

Aran Egan

Corporate & Personal Financial Executive

Aran joined LHW Financial Planning with a strong background in treasury and finance, bringing a deep understanding of financial markets, cash management, and risk. Originally from Kerry, he holds a master’s degree in finance from Trinity College Dublin and works across both the Corporate and Personal Financial Planning teams, where he enjoys helping individuals and businesses make informed, confident financial decisions.

Aran is passionate about building long-term, trusted client relationships and is currently studying towards the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation, reflecting his commitment to continuous professional development and delivering high-quality, holistic financial advice.

Outside of work, Aran plays rugby with Terenure College RFC and is passionate about sport, wellbeing, and training, valuing a balanced lifestyle that supports both personal performance and professional excellence. This complements his client-focused and people-driven approach to financial planning.
